Phyllis
Andrews
Jan 24, 1948 — May 21, 2026
Phyllis (Powell) Andrews, 78, of Bath, passed away on May 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 24, 1948, in Fountain Hill, and throughout her life she was known as a creative, loving, and friendly woman whose warmth touched everyone who knew her.
Phyllis was the beloved daughter of the late Henry Powell and Janet (Bachman) Powell. She was also preceded in death by her late brothers Harold Powell and Bryan Powell, her late brother-in-law Kevin Williams, and her late stepfather Leonard Gross. She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Andrews, with whom she shared more than 60 years of loving marriage. Their bond was a true partnership built on devotion, laughter, and a lifetime of shared memories. She is also survived by her daughter, Patrice O'Neill, and her husband, Jim, as well as her cherished grandson, Connor, who brought great joy to her life. She leaves behind her sister, Diane Williams, her stepmother, Eleanor Powell, her sister-in-law, Jeanne Powell, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever treasure her memory.
Phyllis graduated from Liberty High School, Class of 1965. She spent more than 40 years working in insurance. Her long career reflected the same steady commitment she brought to every part of her life, and she took pride in serving others through her work.
A faithful and active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Bath, Phyllis gave generously of her time and talents as a volunteer. Her faith was an important part of who she was, and she found great purpose in helping her church community. She also served Bath Borough Council for eight years. In addition, she worked as a consultant for Longenberger and Tastefully Simple, where her friendly personality and enthusiasm made her a natural fit.
Phyllis had many interests that brought her happiness and allowed her creativity to shine. She loved vacationing with her family and treasured the time they spent together making memories. She enjoyed ceramics and found scrapbooking to be a big passion, preserving special moments with care and imagination. Gardening brought her peace, and shopping was another pastime she enjoyed. Above all, she loved her friends and was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone. Her generosity, thoughtfulness, and loyalty were among her most defining qualities.
