Patricia Mari Cronin Obituary Patricia Mari (Adelsberger) Cronin, affectionately known as Pat to her friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2024, in Bethlehem. Born on November 26, 1952, in Philadelphia, Pat was a beacon of kindness and friendliness, whose loving nature and unique sense of humor touched the lives of all who knew her.
Pat was the cherished daughter of the late John and Myrtle Adelsberger, and a beloved sister to Jeanne Fitzpatrick and her husband Robert Minnich, and brothers John Adelsberger, and Mark Adelsberger. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she nurtured those bonds with the same care and devotion she extended to all her relationships.
A lifelong learner, Pat's academic journey led her to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then Master of Science, laying the foundation for her remarkable career in the medical field. She began her 40-year nursing career at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Her passion for caring for others eventually guided her to St. Luke's Hospice, where she served with compassion and dedication for 13 years.
Pat's commitment to her community was evident in her role as an elections judge in Bethlehem, a loyal volunteer at The Boutique on the Rink, and a member of the Bethlehem Chapter of the International Lions Club. Her love for literature and spirited discussions found a home in her book club. She formed lasting friendships; many of whom were family members of former hospice patients she had served.
Those who knew Pat will remember her as a person who lived her life with an open heart, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a comforting word. Her presence was a source of joy and support, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with her.
Pats memory will live on in the countless lives she touched, and she will be remembered as a guiding light that shone brightly in the lives of many. Pat's journey on earth has ended, but her story of warmth, generosity, and love will be recounted for generations to come.
