Nancy Louise
Hawk
Mar 21, 1937 — Apr 16, 2026
Nancy Louise Hawk, age 89, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on April 16, 2026. Born on March 21, 1937, in Bethlehem, PA, she was the beloved daughter of the late Charles Sigley and the late Mildred L. Goucher.
A proud graduate of Liberty High School, Nancy built a successful career as the owner of Strohl's Sanitation Service for over 60 years. She was a dedicated and active member of the Bethlehem community, particularly in the world of bowling. Inducted into the Bethlehem Women's Bowling Hall of Fame, she served on the board of the Bethlehem Women's Bowling Association and generously gave her time as a junior bowling coach for 20 years. Her passion for the sport was matched only by her deep affection for the Liberty High School Band, which she supported wholeheartedly over the years.
Above all, family was the heart of Nancy's life. She took great joy in sharing stories about her loved ones and found deep fulfillment in their accomplishments and happiness. She is survived by her devoted husband, Frederick Hawk; her children, Beth Kamowski and her husband Leon, Allen Strohl and his wife Wendy, Randy Strohl and his wife Kathy, and David Strohl and his wife Roxane; her brother, Robert Sigley Sr.; ten loving grandchildren; and eight loving great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry (Sonny) H. Strohl, Jr., and by her brothers, Charles Sigley Jr. and Billy Sigley.
Nancy will be fondly remembered as a caring, energetic woman who embraced life with warmth and enthusiasm. She found pleasure in the simple joys of life. She loved crocheting, playing cards, visiting the casino, camping, and tending to her beloved flowers, for which she had a remarkable green thumb. Her friendly nature and strong community ties made her a well-known and respected figure in Bethlehem.
Her family and many friends will cherish the memories of her kind heart and the love she so freely gave to those around her.
Services : Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
Contributions : In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nancy's name to St. Luke's Hospice House, 2455 Black River Rd, Bethlehem, PA 18015.
