Obituary

Michael Doles Buck, known simply as "Michael," passed away on October 20, 2026, at Arden Courts in Easton, PA at the age of 72, with his beloved wife by his side.

He was born on October 23, 1953, in Winston Salem, North Carolina, to the late William Douglas Buck and Patricia Louise (Polick) Buck. Michael grew up with a strong sense of family and very close friends. He was a member of East Hills Moravian Church in Bethlehem.

Michael attended Freedom High School and went on to build a long and respected career marked by dedication, loyalty and hard work. He spent 39 years as a partner in B&L Properties alongside his best friend, David B. Lloyd. He also worked for Rexroth Corp., Bethlehem and later served almost 20 years as a NASA contractor, in the capacity of an Electrical Controls Technician. In every role, Michael was known for his reliability and his commitment to doing his job well.

Michael was honored in 2012 with the Contractor Excellence Award from VT Griffin, a recognition reflecting high regard held by those who worked with him.

Michael had many hobbies including singing, where he recorded a vinyl record "Run Child Run," lead singer in several local bands and participation in Glee Club and Church Choir. Along with other passions, he loved model rocketry, hang gliding, attending space vehicle launches, saltwater fishing, crabbing and boating. His favorite past-time was his long car rides with his wife Karen.
