Mary Williams Obituary Mary M. Williams, a cherished matriarch, and pillar of her community, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024, at the age of 95 in Easton, Pennsylvania. Born on April 9, 1929, in Lower Saucon Township, Pennsylvania, to the late John and Mary (Czyszczon) Rasich, Mary lived a life marked by devotion to her family, her faith, and her community.
Mary was the loving wife of Arthur L. Williams, Sr., with whom she shared a beautiful marriage of 51 years until his passing on March 28, 2006. Together, they built a family and created countless memories that are treasured to this day. She is survived by her children, Arthur L. Williams, Jr. and his wife Susan of Easton, PA, and Regina McWhinney of Lehighton. Mary was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Thomas McWhinney, and her siblings, Kathryn Yawney, Anna Herman, Michael Rasich, and Walter Rasich.
She will be remembered by her sister-in-law Mildred Rasich of Bethlehem and John Williams and wife Betty of Las Vegas, Nevada. Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren, Michelle Romm and her husband Jeffrey, and A. Lee Williams, III and his wife Sarah Alger. Mary's great-grandchildren, Zachary, Alexandra, and Sylvie, brought her immeasurable joy and were the light of her later years. She cherished every moment spent with them and often shared stories of her own childhood, instilling in them the importance of family and heritage.
Mary was a woman of deep faith and tradition. She was a Lifetime Member of St. Stanislaus until its closure and found great joy in making pierogies with fellow parishioners, an activity that was as much about fellowship as it was about food. After the closure of St. Stanislaus, she became a member of Incarnation of our Lord Parish, where she continued to practice her faith with unwavering devotion. Mary also took great pride in her Croatian heritage, which was an integral part of her identity. As a Lifetime Member of the Croatian Fraternal Union, she participated in numerous cultural events and initiatives, ensuring that the traditions and values of her ancestors lived on for future generations.
