Margaret E. McCourt (Breen), 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026.

Born on September 5, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York, Margaret was the cherished daughter of the late Thomas Breen and the late Margaret Breen (Beyer). She grew up in Brooklyn before building her life and family in Pennsylvania.

A dedicated bookkeeper by profession, Margaret brought care, precision, and quiet reliability to her work throughout her career. Beyond her professional life, she found great joy in simple, heartfelt pursuits. She loved to craft handmade treasures for her family and friends, enjoyed bowling, and had a deep affection for animals.

Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved siblings: her sister Marleen Jarret, her brother Thomas Breen, and her sister Maureen Herron.

She is survived by her son, Colin McCourt and his wife Susan of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Margaret lived a long and gentle life marked by love of family, steady hands, and a warm appreciation for the small joys that make each day meaningful. She will be remembered fondly and deeply missed by all who knew her.
