Obituary

Lynn (Shelley) Jago, 73, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill.

Lynn was a devoted wife, stepmother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness, creativity, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her. She had a deep love for her family and friends and will be remembered for her warmth, compassion, and the quiet ways she cared for others.

She was the beloved wife of Leonard Jago and a loving stepmother to Laurie Nesfeder. Lynn's greatest joy was being a Memaw to her granddaughter, Madison Wolfinger, who held a very special place in her heart.

Lynn is survived by her siblings: Kirk (Janet) Shelley, Lynn Alexander (Mark Dunstan), John Gasdaska (Stacy Tammi), David (Lynda) Doersam, and Rebecca Doersam. She is also lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews Trevor and Angela Gasdaska, Christina (Michael) Gutta, and Kirk (Hannah) Shelley Jr., along with her great-nieces and great-nephews Ryan, Henry, Scout, and Trip.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank W. and Helen Shelley, and her stepparents, Rev. H. Arthur and Marilyn Doersam.

Lynn dedicated her career to education as a librarian with the Bethlehem Area School District, concluding her work at Broughal Middle School. She cared deeply for her students and colleagues, and her patience and kindness left a lasting impression on many young lives.

Outside of her work, Lynn found joy in being a Longaberger Consultant, knitting, sewing, and all things Disney. She especially loved her cats, Simba and Sam, who brought her great comfort. Above all, Lynn cared deeply for her family, friends, and students, and she will be missed by many.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 A.M. until time of the service.
