Mccormack
Aug 18, 1930 — Apr 5, 2026
Louise S. (Smith) McCormack, 95, of Allentown, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born August 18, 1930, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mildred (Stoneback) Smith.
Louise was a graduate of Liberty High School and carried the values of kindness, hard work, and devotion to family with her throughout her life. She was employed by Lehigh University for over 27 years, where she worked as an Executive Secretary prior to retiring.
She was a member of the former Salem Lutheran Church. Louise had a warm and social spirit and especially enjoyed playing cards, belonging to several card clubs over the years where she formed lasting friendships. She also enjoyed attending plays and spending time at the casino, finding joy in life's simple pleasures and in the company of others.
Above all, Louise was devoted to her family. She was a loving and caring presence in the lives of those she held dear, always offering support, comfort, and a steady hand. She was preceded in death by her husband, George B. McCormack, Jr., and her brother, Donald Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol M. Watkins and her husband, James, of Middleton, ID; her sons, Thomas W. McCormack and his wife, Eileen Buchmann, of Coatesville, and David A. McCormack and his husband, Dru Thomas, of Bethlehem; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She cherished time spent with her family and took great pride in each of them.
Louise will be remembered for her gentle nature, her welcoming spirit, and the love she shared so freely with family and friends. Her memory will live on in the many lives she touched.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Louise's arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
