Louis Daniel
Mirra
Nov 24, 1946 — Dec 2, 2025
Louis Daniel Mirra, aged 79, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025. Born on November 24, 1946, in Bethlehem, PA Louis was a man who embraced life with passion and precision. He was the son of the late Louis J. Mirra and Emma M. (Kindig) Mirra.
Louis grew up surrounded by a close and loving family. To his brothers and sisters, he was a steady hand, a quiet source of strength, and someone who could always be counted on. A graduate of Southern Lehigh High School, Louis proudly served his country in the United States Army, an experience that shaped the discipline and sense of honor he carried throughout his life.
For many years he worked as a custodian at Moravian College, where his strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail earned him the lasting respect of faculty, staff, and students alike. Louis was a master woodworker whose beautifully detailed model ships remain treasured by all who were fortunate enough to receive one. Each vessel reflected the extraordinary patience, skill, and care that defined everything he did.
Louis Daniel Mirra lived a rich and meaningful life grounded in hard work, craftsmanship, and devotion to family. He found satisfaction in a job well done and joy in the curl of a wood shaving beneath his plane, and he leaves behind a legacy of quiet integrity and kindness.
Louis is survived by his brother Anthony Mirra and his wife Tammy of Center Valley; his brother Michael A. Mirra and his wife Nancy of Beverly Farms, Massachusetts; his sister Gloria Biser and her husband Neal of Coopersburg; and his sister Marietta Mirra of Allentown, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
