Kathleen Hollenbach Obituary Kathleen 'Kathy' Hollenbach, a beacon of kindness and love, passed away on June 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 27, 1951, in Harrisburg, PA, Kathy was a woman whose life was defined by the care and warmth she extended to everyone she encountered. As the eldest of three children, Kathy took to heart her role as a caregiver early in life. She was a graduate of Catasauqua High School, where she was known for her nurturing nature. In 1970, she became a part of the first official graduating Practical Nursing class at Lehigh County Community College, a testament to her lifelong commitment to helping others. Kathy's career as a nurse was more than a profession; it was a calling that she fulfilled with grace and dedication. Most recently, Kathy had worked as a customer service representative for Wachovia, where her loving and kind nature made her a beloved figure among both colleagues and clients. In October of 1970, Kathy married, and in her marriage, she was blessed with a beautiful daughter, Kimberly Ann. Her nurturing spirit shone brightly as she embraced motherhood. Kathy's love and care continued to be the cornerstone of her family's life, providing comfort and joy to all those who had the privilege of being part of her world. Kathy's memory will forever be cherished in the lives of her daughter, Kimberly, and her grandchildren, Kaitlin and Olivia Mackaravitz, who will continue to carry her legacy of love forward. She is also survived by her sister Ellen, along with numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins, all of whom felt the warmth of her caring presence. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ernestine, and her brother, Robert, Jr. As a family, they shared a bond that was deep and abiding, and her memory will remain a guiding light in the lives of her loved ones. Throughout her life, Kathy exemplified what it means to be loving and kind. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her gentle spirit and generous heart made her a cherished companion, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
