Kathleen Dorothy Best Obituary Kathleen Dorothy Best, 90, of Fountain Hill, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 31, 1933, in Bath, Pennsylvania, to John P. and Dorothy (Beier) Redding, she graduated from Fountain Hill High School in 1952. Kathleens nurturing and creative spirit shone through in her love for baking, gardening, and ceramics. She cherished spending time camping and traveling with her husband and family. A dedicated member of St. Ursula Catholic Church, she also extended her kindness to the community as a school bus driver for the Southern Lehigh School District. She devoted her life to her family, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. Her marriage of 72 years to Robert C. Best Jr. was a partnership built on mutual respect and unwavering support, providing a strong foundation for their family. Together, they raised four children: Robert C. Best III (Linda), Dorothy K. Antolick (Edmund), Glenn R. Best (Debora), and Thomas J. Best (Lauralee). Kathleen was also a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren: Theresa, Alyssa, Sara, Matthew, Steven, Brandon, and John Patrick, and a great-grandmother to seven: Henry, Ryan, Leona, Colton, Helena, Brayden, and Jayna. She treasured her role as a grandmother and found great joy in being a constant presence in their lives. She often attended her grandchildren's events, always offering her unwavering support and encouragement. Kathleen was preceded in death by her siblings Dolores, Elizabeth, Dorothy, John, and Edward. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at St. Ursula Catholic Church, 1300 Broadway Fountain Hill, PA 18015, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 A.M. until time of the mass in the church.
