Karen Prosser Obituary Karen Louise Prosser, a lifelong resident of Bethlehem, PA, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024. Born on August 7, 1954, to the late Benjamin and Dorothy (Snyder) Herzog, Karen's warmth and vivacious spirit were a blessing to all who knew her. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, and her presence will be profoundly missed.
Karen graduated from Saucon Valley High School in 1972, where she formed lifelong friendships and laid the foundations for her future. She found her professional calling with the Bethlehem Area School District, serving as a dedicated secretary for many years. Her work was more than a job; it was an extension of her caring nature, as she supported both staff and students with her efficiency and kindness until her well-deserved retirement.
Married to her beloved husband, Thomas Prosser, for 37 harmonious years, their partnership was a testament to enduring love and mutual respect. Karen's legacy is carried on through her devoted children, Richard Prosser and his wife, Kaitlyn, of Bethlehem, and Rachael Roth and her husband, Cory, also of Bethlehem. She took immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Hunter, Weston, and Henry, instilling in them the values of love, laughter, and the importance of family.
Karen's siblings, David Herzog of Columbia, Missouri, and Linda Heimpel and her husband, William, of Northampton, remember her as a sister who was always there to offer support and a listening ear. Her nieces, nephews, and cousins will fondly recall her nurturing presence and the special moments they shared.
A faithful member of Friedensville Lutheran Church, Karen's commitment to her faith was evident in her actions and the gracious way she lived her life. She found strength and community within her church family, and her involvement was a source of great personal fulfillment.
Beyond her family and church, Karen had a zest for life that was contagious. She loved to dance, a passion that brought her immeasurable joy and energy. Karen was also a fervent supporter of the Phantoms Ice Hockey team, cheering them on with enthusiasm and pride. Her love for sports extended to watching her family's athletic events, where she was a constant and encouraging presence in the stands.
