Karen Fattore Obituary Karen M. Fattore, a lifelong resident of Bethlehem, PA, and an active member of her community, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on August 19, 1942, to Edward and Marguerite (Lintner) Miller, Karen's early life in the town she loved set the stage for a lifetime of service and care that touched the lives of many. After graduating from Liberty High School in 1960, Karen began her professional journey at Northeast Plaza, where she worked diligently from 1955 to 1960 and again from 1962 to 1974. Her commitment to the community saw a new chapter when she served the BASD Cafeteria from 1974 to 1975. Karen's passion for commitment was further evident during her time at Schoenen's Market, where from 1975 to 1991, she managed the bakery and worked in produce, endearing herself to customers and coworkers alike. Karen's dedication to helping others took a profound turn when she pursued a career in nursing. After graduating from St. Luke's Nursing School in 1991, she achieved her certification in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing in 1994. For 15 years, Karen provided compassionate care as a registered nurse at Allentown State Hospital, retiring in 2006. Her professional legacy is marked by the countless individuals she helped through their most challenging times. Beyond her professional life, Karen was a pillar of the Advent Moravian Church, where she was a lifetime member. Her faith and dedication to service were evident through her roles as Sunday School teacher, Bible School Instructor, and Superintendent of Sunday School. Karen served on the Executors Board, the Board of Elders twice, and the Committee on Christian Education, shaping the spiritual lives of many. Her love for music and fellowship shone through her involvement in choir, ushering, and her role as the Chairman of the Hospitality Committee. Karen's artistic flair and love for beauty were displayed in her role as Flower Coordinator, where she brought joy and solace to many through her floral arrangements. Family was the cornerstone of Karen's life. She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas A. Fattore, who predeceased her in May 1999. Her legacy is carried on by her devoted son, Alexander E. Fattore, and his wife, Catherine, of Bethlehem. Karen's love and guidance will forever be cherished by her grandsons, Angelo and Dominic, who were the lights of her life. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Karen was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Marguerite Miller, her brother, Charles Lintner, and sister, Geraldine Villani. Karen's life was one of unwavering service, boundless love, and deep faith.
