Joseph Koch Obituary Joseph R. Koch, 77, of Bethlehem died Friday, May 17, 2024 at his home. He was the husband of Charlene A. (Hunter) Koch with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage on July 28, 2023. Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late Joseph Leo and Katherine Arlene (Scholler) Koch. A 1965 graduate of Liberty High School, Joseph received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Moravian College in 1969 and his Master in Education Degree in 1976 from Kutztown University. He began his career at the Easton Middle School where he taught science for a couple of years. He then went onto Bethlehem Steel Corporation where he was the Environmental Health and Safety Engineer until their closing. He was then hired to fill the same position for the Sands Casino and Hotel, Bethlehem until their closing in 2016. Joseph was a talented artist who enjoyed oil painting and woodworking in his earlier years. Every year he enjoyed the annual trip to Wildwood, NJ with his family. Survivors: Wife; children, Daniel Koch and his wife Katherine of Pottstown, Jennifer Mendiolina and her husband William Nazzaro of Allentown; grandchildren, Devon A.
