Josefina Maria
Estrada
Jun 20, 1964 — Mar 5, 2026
Josefina Maria Estrada (Mosqueda), 61, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026.
Born on June 20, 1964, in Guadalajara, Mexico, Josefina was the beloved daughter of the late Jose Mosqueda and the late Juanita Rios. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Samuel Estrada, with whom she shared 31 years of marriage.
Josefina was the cherished mother of Martha Hartranft (and her husband Keith) and Ignacio Mosqueda (and his wife Amanda). Her greatest joy came from her role as grandmother to Vince and Ella, whom she adored beyond measure. Family was truly everything to her, and she poured her heart into nurturing those closest to her.
A dedicated homemaker, Josefina found profound fulfillment in creating a warm and loving home. She was an exceptional cook, renowned among family and friends for her famous salsas and tamales. She delighted in sewing, in beautiful clothes, and in the simple pleasures of shopping trips with her daughter Martha. A passionate fan of Iron Maiden, she carried that spirited energy into many happy moments.
Josefina also shared her home and heart with her cherished dogs, Blaze, Stanley, Sultan, and Eddie, who brought her endless companionship and joy.
She will be remembered as a woman of quiet strength, unwavering devotion, and boundless love for her family and a great sense of humor. Her legacy lives on in the memories she created, the meals she lovingly prepared, and the profound love she gave so freely.
Josefina was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Samuel, her children Martha and Ignacio, her son-in-law Keith, her daughter-in-law Amanda, her grandchildren Vince and Ella, and her beloved dog Eddie.
