Obituary

Jean Marie "Jeannie" Podobinski, 81, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026.

Born on September 27, 1944, in Jackson Heights, New York, she was the beloved daughter of the late Al and Jean Ruocchio. Jeannie will be remembered for her kindness, quiet strength, generous spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. She lived a life centered on love, faith, and service to others.

For more than 59 beautiful years, she shared a loving and devoted marriage with her husband, Hank. She was the center of Hank's world, and he loved her dearly. Together they built a life rooted in love, family, and enduring commitment.

Jeannie was an avid volunteer throughout her life, generously giving her time and heart to many organizations, including the Special Olympics, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts. Her giving nature and compassionate spirit touched many lives. She was also a faithful member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church, where her faith remained an important part of her life.

She is survived by her loving husband, Hank; her cherished daughters, Jan and Gia; her adored grandchildren, Jack, Josephine, and Jaimeson, who lovingly knew her as "Marme"; and her precious great-granddaughter, Madelaine, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Jeannie's arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
