Jayne S. Miller, 81, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, educator and friend, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, at Arden Courts of Old Orchard in Easton, PA with her loving husband of 57 years by her side. Born on April 21, 1944, in Bethlehem, PA, to the late John K. & Kathleen (Hilton) Sugg. Jayne's life was a testament to her unwavering commitment to her family, her passion for education, and her active involvement in her community.

After graduation from Liberty High School, Jayne continued her education at Ursinus College followed by receiving her Master's in Education at Wilkes University. Her 30 year career in gifted education spanned teaching at Moravian Academy, Parkland School District (Ironton School) and the DaVinci Science Center.

Jayne was a member of the Junior Leage of the Lehigh Valley and the American Association of University Women (AAUW), and an active member of Evangelical Lutheran Church of Durham. Always embracing a healthy lifestyle, she shared her enthusiasm for personal fitness with others. Well known for her creativity, she enjoyed gardening, bicycling trips, arts and crafts, skiing and membership at Saucon Valley Country Club.

Survivors: husband: James M. Miller, III; children: Kathleen C. M. Palmer (Stefan), James M. Miller, IV (Erica), Peter K. Miller (Gail); siblings: Barbara Mathisen (Richard), Donald Sugg; grandchildren: Lauren, Alexis, Caitlyn, Allyson, Elizabeth, & Jack.

Services: A Private Graveside Service will be held at the convenience of the family at Durham Cemetery.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Evangelical Lutheran Church of Durham, 821 Durham Road, Durham, PA 18039, followed by a Celebration of Life Reception at 12:30 P.M. at Saucon Valley Country Club, 2050 Saucon Valley Road, Bethlehem, PA 18015. Jayne's services have been entrusted to Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
