Obituary

Janice Lynn Kleckner, age 70, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 20, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She was born on January 4, 1956, in St. Clairsville, Ohio, and lived life on her own terms. She was fiercely independent, generous to a fault, and her life was infused with vibrant creativity.

Janice pursued her education at High Point University, where she earned her bachelor's degree. Her education helped shape a life of creativity and connection, and she used her talents in meaningful ways throughout her varied career. She worked as a sign language interpreter, a role that reflected both her skill and her compassion.

After moving to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Jan began a new chapter in her life by starting her own cleaning business. Her work ethic, independence, and determination were evident in this endeavor, as well. She approached her responsibilities with care and commitment, and she took pride in building something of her own. Those who knew her appreciated both her excellence and how hard she worked.

Jan had a deep appreciation for the arts and found joy and community in the theatre. She loved to be the comedic relief, both in her personal life and on stage, and her incredible talent was showcased in many shows both in Annapolis, MD and the Lehigh Valley.

Janice is survived by her only daughter, Greta Kleckner, and fiancée, Wendy Feaver, of New York, New York. She is also survived by her sister, Karen Whitehouse, and her husband, Roger, of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Janice was the daughter of the late Donald Kleckner and Audrey (Morris) Kleckner. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Carol Kleckner.

SERVICES: A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Jan's services have been entrusted to Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem.  A memorial tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
