Obituary

Janice C. (Klimek) Millets, 83, formerly of Fountain Hill, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2026, at her home in Northampton, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of John J. Millets, Jr., with whom she shared 64 years of marriage. The couple celebrated their wedding anniversary on September 1.

Born on November 25, 1942, in Allentown, Janice was the daughter of the late Alfred Klimek and Frances (Brader) Klimek.

Janice dedicated much of her life to caring for others through her career as a registered nurse. She attended Allentown Central and graduated from the Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She later earned an associate degree from Northampton Community College. Janice worked for seven years in the nursery at Sacred Heart Hospital and later spent nine years as a visiting nurse with St. Luke's.

Above all, Janice's greatest joy was her family. In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by her children, John J. Millets III and his wife, Deb, of Whitehall; JoAnne Palenchar of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; James A. Millets and his wife, Gwen, of Whitehall; Jeffrey M. Millets and his wife, Karen, of Hellertown; and Janine Hechler and her husband, Peter, of Bethlehem. She is also survived by her brother, Michael Klimek of Hawaii; 11 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Janice enjoyed traveling and reading, but nothing meant more to her than her family and the time they shared together.
