Jacqueline G.
Abel
Oct 8, 1951 — Mar 9, 2025
Jacqueline G. Abel, affectionately known as Jackie, passed away peacefully at home on March 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 8, 1951, in New York, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Florence (Minuni) Vitale.
A graduate of Freedom High School, Jackie dedicated over 25 years to Durkee Foods before retiring in 1994. She later worked as an administrator for Nurse Finders. However, her greatest joy in life was her family. She embraced every moment as a devoted wife, mother, and Nana, cherishing the time spent with loved ones.
Jackie and her husband, Jim, shared a beautiful love story and would have celebrated 50 years of marriage this June. Their home was always filled with love, laughter, and the comforting presence of family. Jackie was the heart of every gathering, a keeper of traditions, and a source of unwavering support.
She will be deeply missed, but her love and warmth will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Survivors: Jackie is survived by her beloved husband, Jim Abel; daughters, Bonnie J. Beverley and Michelle L. Hamilton (Matthew); grandchildren, Tyler Beverley, Emily Malone, Seth Hamilton, and Julia Hamilton; great-granddaughter, Aubriana; siblings, Barbara Gotzon (Michael), Jim Vitale, and Anna Fatzinger (Michael); and many loving nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her cherished canine companions, Daisy and Duke, who brought her endless joy. Jackie was predeceased by her beloved son, Jim D. Abel, and granddaughter, Jacqueline G. Beverley.
Services: A Celebration of Life will be held at 7 P.M. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 6 P.M. until the time of service.
