Irene Dickerson (Barber), 91, of Bangor, PA passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026. She was born on May 30, 1935, in Newark, NJ, to the late George Barber and Margaret Waters. Irene worked as a medical accounts receivable specialist at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ.

She enjoyed watching television, especially Survivor, Shark Tank, and Family Feud, and loved reading John Grisham novels.

She will be remembered for her warmth and the quiet strength she brought to everyone around her.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Ivan Dickerson; her daughter, Alice Straile; and her sister, Margaret Strand. She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Nagy and her husband, Tom; her daughter, Lora Schwambach and her husband, Fred; and her grandchildren, Andrew, Sarah, Monica, and Matthew; great grandchildren, Jacqueline, and Brynn.

Irene will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
