Harold C. "Chuck" McCane, 77, of Salisbury Township, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026, at home.

Born June 20, 1948, he was the son of the late Harold W. and Janet E. McCane. Chuck was a lifelong area resident.

He graduated from Salisbury High School and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Chuck was awarded two Purple Hearts and was especially proud of earning his Combat Infantryman Badge.

Chuck worked for many years as a lineman with Service Electric Cable TV until retiring.

He was a lifelong member of VFW Post 2124 in Allentown, where he was an active player on the shuffleboard, darts, and pool teams. Chuck also belonged to the Salisbury Fire Company #1 Social Club, where he had many friends.

Chuck's family remembers his annual hunting trips in the mountains where he would always return with a deer, fishing along the Lehigh river, cabin vacations in the Poconos and day trips to Atlantic City. He enjoyed bowling in a league, riding his Harley, and the NASCAR racing season.

He is survived by his daughter, Jill Johnstone and her husband Brian, and his son, Andrew McCane and his wife Stephanie. He was a proud grandfather to Victor, Jackson, Henry, Finnian, and Dagny. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Missmer.

Chuck will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
