Gustel M. Kospiah (Hahn) passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on February 7, 1949, in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Vance Mcilwaine and the late Margreth Hahn.

A dedicated and hardworking woman, Gustel was employed as a sewing machine operator for 47 years at ANZ Sportswear, where her skill and commitment earned the respect of her colleagues. She took pride in her craft and contributed faithfully to her workplace throughout her long career.

Gustel was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband, Michael A. Kospiah; her son, Matthew Kospiah and his wife Sarah; her stepbrother, Vance Mcilwaine; and her beloved granddaughter, Felicity Kospiah. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Active in her community, Gustel was a longtime member of the Jefferson Democratic Club and The Wanderers. She found joy in simple pleasures, especially watching her favorite cooking shows, which reflected her warm and nurturing spirit.

Gustel will be remembered for her strength, resilience, and the quiet dignity with which she lived her life. Her family and friends will carry her memory with love and gratitude for the many years they shared together.
