Gloria Esther
Morales
Apr 25, 1940 — May 18, 2025
Gloria Esther Morales, a cherished matriarch and beacon of faith in her community, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Born on April 25, 1940, in the town of Cayey, Puerto Rico, Gloria's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and unwavering belief.
Gloria was born to her late loving parents Cristin Martinez and Nancy (Rosado) Martinez. She grew up surrounded by the affection of her siblings Gladys Munoz, Negri Paula Roche, Carmen Martinez, and Papo Juan De La Cruz Martinez, as well as those who predeceased her: Jose Miguel Ramos, Angel Martinez, and Pedro Martinez. Her early years in Puerto Rico laid the foundation for a life rich in tradition and community spirit.
In her youth, Gloria's radiant personality and nurturing soul found their calling as she embraced the role of homemaker—a role that would define much of her life. She married the love of her life, Benjamin Morales Martinez, and together they raised a family imbued with love and strong values until his passing on February 28, 2025. Gloria's legacy continues through her devoted sons, Victor Morales of Lebanon, PA, Eduardo Morales and his wife Christina C. Sepulveda-Morales of Allentown, and her adored granddaughters, Amanda E. Morales, Victoria Morales, and Cristle Lee Morales-Almonte, along with Cristle's husband, Marco Almonte, as well as her great granddaughter Charley Alexa Silva.
Gloria's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of devotion and service. After moving to Jersey City, she became a pillar of her community, touching lives with her generosity and warmth. In 2005, she brought her vibrant spirit to the Lehigh Valley, where she continued to be a source of strength and inspiration to all who knew her.
A devout member of Holy Infancy Church, Gloria's faith was the compass that guided her. She poured her heart into her church activities, becoming an integral part of her congregation. Her dedication to her faith was evident in her tireless work and the joy she brought to every church gathering.
The love Gloria held for her family was immense, and she instilled in them the values of kindness, respect, and the importance of community. Her home was a haven of hospitality, where laughter filled the rooms, and the aroma of delicious meals brought comfort to all who entered with the vegetables she grew in her garden, where she also showed her green thumb planting all types of flowers.
As we honor Gloria Esther Morales, we celebrate a life that was a beacon of light and love. Her unwavering faith, her commitment to her family, and her generous spirit have left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed, yet her legacy of love will continue to shine brightly through her family and the many lives she enriched.
Gloria's final days were spent surrounded by the love of her family, a fitting tribute to a woman who gave so much love to others. Her passing, while a profound loss, is also a moment to reflect on a life lived with purpose and grace.
