Gloria Fernandez Obituary Gloria 'Glow 7' Fernandez, a radiant presence of love and light, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 7, 1954, in New York City, she was the beloved daughter of the late Antonio and Luz Delia (Rivas) Fernandez. Family was the heart of Glorias life, and she treasured every moment, creating a legacy of cherished memories that will endure for generations. Glorias skilled hands and meticulous attention to detail led her to a rewarding career as a seamstress at Bethleon Togs. Her work was a testament to her talent and dedication, qualities she carried with her when she later joined St. Luke's Hospital, contributing her care and commitment to environmental services. Outside of work, Glorias vibrant personality came alive through her many passions. She had a talent for sewing and poured her creativity into crafting countless costumes and dresses, especially for her nieces and nephews. Each stitch told a story, and her creations became lasting symbols of her love and imagination. A devoted Star Wars fan with a soft spot for Baby Yoda, Gloria also found joy in the magical world of Harry Potter. Her boundless affection extended to animals, finding happiness in the companionship of creatures great and small. Gloria is survived by her siblings Dolores, Jorge and his wife Loretha, and Sandra, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Luz Delia, and her siblings Tomas, Manuel, and Louisa Maldonado. Glorias family will miss her deeply, but her warmth and radiance and the glow she shared with everyone will continue to light their lives. A Memorial Service will be held at 7 P.M. on Friday, January 10, 2025, at the Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill, PA 18015.
