George S.
Mourani
Feb 10, 1940 — Jan 29, 2026
George S. Mourani, a cherished husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Bethlehem, PA, on January 29, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 10, 1940, in Abba, Lebanon, George's journey led him to touch the lives of many with his kindness, strength, and unwavering spirit.
George's devotion to his family was the cornerstone of his life. He shared 47 years of marriage with his loving wife, Janet E. (Fillman) Mourani. Together, they raised a family of five wonderful sons: Daniel, Andre, Pierre, Elias, and David Mourani and their spouses: Crystal, Nicole, Karolin, and Cassidy. His legacy continues to flourish through his twelve adoring grandchildren, who will miss their grandfather's warmth and guidance: Aundrea, Lucas, Maison, Peyton, Grayson, Layla, Noah, Lillie, Sadie, Addalyn, Tatum, and Adrianna. George was the beloved brother of Sadie Elias, Badiha Rizk, John Mourani, and Elias Mourani. He was predeceased by his parents, Saad Mourani and Anita (Moussa) Mourani, and his siblings Najib Mourani and Dlilah Mourani.
After earning his Associate's Degree, George embarked on a career at Bethlehem Steel, where he worked as a Steel Worker for 34 years before retiring in 1996. His dedication to his work was paralleled only by his commitment to his community. George proudly served in the Army in Lebanon before moving to the United States. He was a dedicated member of St. Joachim and Anne Maronite Mission Church in Allentown, where he found spiritual solace and a sense of belonging.
Outside of work and community involvement, George was a man of many interests and talents. He had an enduring love for working on cars and his skills as a handyman were unmatched, there was no task too great or too small for him to tackle. George's hands were rarely still, as he found joy in the act of creation and repair.
George's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and faith. His memory will be cherished and honored by all who knew him. The stories of his kindness, generosity, and humor will be recounted for generations, ensuring that his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
