Obituary

Frank C. Donchez, 72, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2026.

Born on July 21, 1953, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Frank was the beloved son of the late Charles Donchez and the late Irene (Toth) Donchez.

He is survived by his devoted wife of many years, Jayne Donchez (Critelli); his sister, Donna Donchez Ford and her husband Ron; his brother-in-law, Rudy Critelli; and his sister-in-law, Terri Henshaw and her husband Robert; along with many nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Donchez Watt, and his brother, CJ Donchez.

Frank proudly served his country as a United States Navy veteran. He enjoyed a distinguished 40-year career in the engineering department at St. Luke's Hospital, where his dedication and expertise touched many lives.

Frank found great joy in photographing wildlife, especially in Yellowstone National Park and Monument Valley. He loved traveling and visiting friends and family across the country. He especially enjoyed windjammer sailing off the coast of Maine, where he found peace in the open water and took in the simple beauty of the sea. An avid bowler, he also enjoyed golfing, fishing, and woodworking. He was an active member of the American Legion in Bath, where he shared camaraderie and fellowship with fellow veterans.

Frank will be remembered as a loving husband, a loyal brother, a devoted uncle, a proud veteran, and a man of quiet strength and many talents whose kindness and steady presence enriched the lives of all who knew him.
