Dorothy M. Bleier (Hovancik), 97, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026. Born on November 20, 1928, in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late John and Louise (Resli) Hovancik.

Dorothy was a woman of warmth, patience, and quiet generosity who touched the lives of those around her in meaningful ways. She worked at various fabric stores and retired from AD computer. She was an avid sewer and crafter. She shared that gift freely, opening her home and her knowledge to high school students whom she taught to sew, leaving an impression on young people that extended well beyond the craft itself. She also belonged to numerous card clubs and loved trips with the church to shows, casinos, and vacations.

In quieter moments, she could often be found at the card table, enjoying the company of family and friends in the way she loved most. For 17 years, she brought that same steady dedication to her work in an administrative role at AD Computer, where her reliability and character were hallmarks of her service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gustave P. "Gus" Bleier; her daughter, Kathleen L. Miller; her sister, Margaret Neith; and her brother, John Hovancik.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Cynthia S. Guffy and her husband Alexander, Karen Minorics; six loving grandchildren; and five loving great-grandchildren.

She lived for her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful fond memories of love in all of us.

Services : A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026, at 11 AM at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A calling hour will begin at 10:00 AM and continue until the start of the service. Following the service, the burial will take place at Holy Ghost Cemetery.
