Obituary

Dorothy Anderson Obituary Dorothy Anderson, a cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025, at the venerable age of 104. She was born on May 6, 1920, in the serene setting of Tobique River, New Brunswick, Canada, to the late Ralph and Alice (Stacey) Labbie. Her life was a rich tapestry woven with the love of family, dedication to education, and a passion for the timeless arts of knitting and crocheting. Dorothy's journey led her from the tranquil banks of the Tobique River to the vibrant community of Fort Kent, Maine, where she completed her high school education and went on to earn an associate's degree in education. Her academic achievements laid the foundation for her career as a devoted teacher in Maine, where she inspired young minds before wholeheartedly embracing the role of homemaker. Dorothy and her late husband, Harvey Andersons lives were furthered by the birth of their loving children. She faced the sorrow of losing her beloved son Chester, but found strength and joy in her daughters Diane Mills, and her husband Roy, of Bethlehem, PA, and Lorna McEntee, and her husband Robert, of Middletown, CT. Dorothy's family blossomed with the addition of six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immeasurable happiness to her life.
