Donna Marie Harwood, 79, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 1, 1946, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to the late Fred and Domenica (Lapelosa) Lesniak.

Donna lived a life defined by devotion, kindness, and quiet strength. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and compassion touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest happiness in the time she shared with those she loved.

Donna was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank Harwood, whose memory remained close to her heart. She is survived by her daughter, Christine Lagree, and her husband, Robert; her treasured granddaughter, Alexa Lagree, who brought her great joy and pride; her brothers, Christopher Lesniak and his wife, Antonia, and Rick Lesniak. She was predeceased by her brother, Donn Lesniak.

Donna dedicated much of her life to education and service. She earned her master's degree in education from Rutgers University and went on to serve as a Special Education Teacher with the Old Bridge Township School District in New Jersey. Through her patience, compassion, and dedication, she made a lasting difference in the lives of countless students and their families. She cared deeply about helping others and took great pride in the work she did.

Beyond her career, Donna generously gave her time and heart to her community. She was a devoted volunteer with the Nazareth Food Bank, where her caring nature and willingness to help others were evident in all she did.

Donna also had many simple joys that brought happiness to her life. She was an avid New York Yankees fan and faithfully followed her team. She loved dogs, working on puzzles, and sewing, finding comfort and enjoyment in these favorite pastimes. Above all, Donna treasured her family. The love, laughter, and memories she shared with them will remain a lasting part of her legacy.
