Daniel M.
Millan
Mar 24, 1946 — Aug 8, 2026
Daniel M. Millan, 80, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 8th, 2026. He was born March 24, 1946, in Binghamton, NY, the son of the late Walter Millan and Mary Millan Chickillo.
Daniel proudly served his country in the United States Navy, working as a machinist aboard the USS Shangri-La. The discipline and pride he carried from his years of service stayed with him throughout his life, shaping the steady, dependable way he approached everything he did. After his time in the Navy, Daniel built a long career as an HVAC technician at Unitemp, where his skill and work ethic earned him the respect of those around him.
Above all else, Daniel was a family man. Family was the true center of his world, and nothing brought him more joy than the time he spent with the people he loved. He took immense pride in his grandchildren, Joshua and Julia, and he made it a point to be there for their sporting events, cheering them on from the sidelines whenever he could. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and as someone who gave freely of his time and love to those closest to him.
Daniel was an avid golfer who loved spending time on the course, and he carried that same passion into his devotion to the New Jersey Devils, following the team with an enthusiasm that never wavered.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary Millan Chickillo, and his first wife, Marietta.
Daniel is survived by his beloved wife, Fran Millan (Patella); his son, Dan Millan, and his wife, Heather Millan; his cherished grandchildren, Joshua and Julia, who brought him so much happiness; his sister-in-law, Ida Jackson (Patella), and brother-in-law, Donald Jackson; as well as a niece, a nephew, and two great-nephews.
