Obituary

Christopher Paul Williams Obituary Christopher Paul Williams, a beacon of light and laughter, embarked on his eternal journey on May 2, 2024, after a valiant battle with lymphoma. Born into this world on January 18, 1993, in the historic town of Bethlehem, Chris's life was a vivid tapestry woven with joy, creativity, and an indomitable spirit that touched the hearts of all who knew him. Chris's journey was one marked by the love and support of a family that stood as the cornerstone of his existence. He was the cherished son of Susanne Kelly, who survives him, and the late Michael Davis. He was a beloved brother to the late Shamar Ruiz. His legacy is also celebrated by the Rapp and Kelly families and paternal uncles Tyrone Davis and Taurus Ramsey whose lives were enriched by his presence and aunt Sarah Shuey and cousin Taurus Ramsey, Jr. Chris's sisters, Aubrey Flurer and Rebecca Flurer and friends Ragna Gonzalez, Matthew Kropf, Magdalena Mateo, Khalid Taylor, Rayche Cox, and Juan DeJesus, became his chosen family, sharing in the laughter and the tears, the triumphs, and the challenges. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother Lucinda Turner. Chris's educational journey began at Liberty High School, where he first started to shape his dreams and carve out his unique path in the world. His professional life was marked by a dedication to service, as he brought his warmth and empathy to his role in customer service at First Commonwealth FCU. Chris's work was not just a job; it was an extension of his desire to connect with and support others. However, it was in his personal passions where Chris truly shone. A safe space for many in the Lehigh Valley, he was a beautiful artist, musician, poet, comedian, and singer. His artistry was not confined to canvas or paper; it was reflected in every aspect of his life. Chris's very bright, bubbly, colorful, and outgoing personality made every encounter with him a memorable one. He was the embodiment of creativity, generously sharing his talents and encouraging others to find and express their own. Chris's influence was as profound as his humor was infectious. Described by those who knew him best as funny, spirited, and creative, he had a knack for seeing the silver lining in every cloud and could lift the spirits of a room with just a smile or a well-timed joke. His life was a testament to the power of positive thinking and the impact of a kind heart. A Celebration of Chris's life will be a vibrant affair, reflecting the very essence of the man himself. The service will be at 6:30 PM on Monday, May 13, 2024, at the Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill, PA, 18015 where friends and family will gather not to mourn but to honor the joy and love that Chris spread so freely. The family will welcome relatives and friends beginning at 5 PM until the time of the service. In true Chris fashion, attendees are encouraged to don bright colors and patterns, embodying the spirit of a life lived in vivid hues, please no black. Chris's story does not end with his passing but continues in every life he touched, every song he sang, and every piece of art he created. His memory will be cherished, and his legacy will inspire others to live fully, love deeply, and laugh often. As we bid farewell to Christopher Paul Williams, let us carry forward the light he shone on us all, for in our hearts and in our actions, his spirit will dance on, as bright and as beautiful as ever.
