Carmine Martino Obituary Carmine Martino, 71, of Allentown, passed away suddenly on November 5, 2024, in Allentown. He was the husband of Constance (Richetta) Martino, with whom he shared 15 beautiful years of marriage. Born in the quaint village of Beltiglio in the Province of Benevento, Italy, he was the son of the late Peppino and Eleanora (Parenti) Martino.
In 1960, Carmine bid farewell to his native Italy and embraced the promise of America. With determination and a vision for a brighter future, he settled in Nazareth, PA, where he honed his skills as a barber. By 1975, Carmine's dream materialized as he opened the doors to Parkway Barber Shop on Lehigh Street in Allentown. For 49 years, Carmine's hands shaped not only the hair but also the lives of countless individuals who sat in his chair. His work was a testament to his steadfast work ethic and his dedication to providing for his beloved family. Carmine's life was a portrait of devotion, painted with the love he had for his family. Carmine's faith was a cornerstone of his existence. As a faithful member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Allentown, he found solace and strength in his beliefs. Outside the church walls, Carmine's kindness and selflessness were noticeable to anyone he met. His love for life's simple pleasures, such as savoring a good meal, was matched only by his love for his family. Those who knew Carmine understood that he was a man of exceptional character. Described as loving, kind, and selfless, he put the needs of others before his own, embodying the very essence of service and compassion.
Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Constance, he will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Joseph L. Martino, Dominic M. Martino and his wife Becca; daughter, Elaina; his adored grandchildren, Crocifisso, Trey, Jaden, Coy, Kayla, and Jessica, who knew him affectionately as Pop-Pop. The sparkle in his eyes was brightest when he was cheering them on at sporting events or simply sharing in their everyday adventures. Though he had lost his beloved siblings, Theresa Italiano, Ida Calabro, and Angelo Martino, Carmine's spirit of kinship lived on through his surviving sisters, Domenica Michetti, Diamante Zullo, Antonina Cavuoto, and Candida DeMai. The Martino family's warmth and unity were a beacon for the many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who also mourn his passing.
