Bruce Harvey
Stout
Dec 18, 1940 — Feb 19, 2025
Bruce Harvey Stout, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025, in his hometown of Bethlehem, PA, at the age of 84. Bruce was born on December 18, 1940, to his late parents, Harvey and Emily (Unkle) Stout. His life was a testament to the love and dedication he had for his family, his work, and his passions.
Bruce was a proud graduate of Liberty High School, where he first showcased his work ethic and commitment to excellence. After graduation, he honorably served his country in the United States Army. Upon returning to civilian life, Bruce began working as a truck driver, working for many years at APA Transport, a job that he performed with pride until his retirement. His dedication to the community was further demonstrated by his 24 year tenure as a school bus driver for Salisbury Township, safely transporting generations of children to and from school.
In 1962, Bruce married the love of his life, Rebecca (DeLong) Stout, and together they shared 62 wonderful years. Their union was blessed with five sons: Michael Stout and his wife Linda of Colfax, NC; Christopher Stout and Randy Stout, both of Allentown; James Stout and his significant other Tony of Wauwatosa, WI; and Andrew Stout and his wife Sarah of Bethlehem. Bruce's legacy is also carried on by his adoring grandchildren: Adam Stout, Dylan Stout, Eric Stout, Zackary Stout, Kaylee Parsons, Westley Stout, Natalie Stout, Owen Parsons, Thomas Stout, and Charlotte Stout, who will forever cherish the memories and lessons learned from their beloved grandfather. Bruce was predeceased by a sister, Dolores Whitsett, brother, Thomas Stout, and daughters-in-law Donna K. Stout and Donna M. Stout
Bruce's passion for the railways was more than just a hobby; it was a part of who he was. An avid rail fan, he could often be found trackside, watching the trains roll by, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with anyone who showed an interest. His eyes would light up with the sight of a locomotive, and his knowledge of the railways was both extensive and impressive.
