Obituary

Barry L. Longenbach, 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 25, 2025. Born on August 25, 1950, to the late LeRoy and Marie (Miller) Longenbach, Barry was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Cynthia (Jones) Longenbach; daughter, Teri Keller and her husband Mark; son, Wade Longenbach and his wife Tara; brother, Lee R. Longenbach and his wife Georgine; sister, Kathie Humphrey; and grandchildren, Emily, Corrine, Madyson, and Kylie. He was predeceased by his siblings, Penny Lynn and LeRoy L. Longenbach, Jr.

A graduate of Parkland High School, Barry furthered his education by earning a master's in finance from American College. His commitment to his country was evident through his honorable service in the United States Air Force. Barry spent most of his career with Prudential Insurance Company before retiring. After retirement, he stayed active by working for Long Beach Island Township, where he enjoyed connecting with the community.

He was also deeply involved in church life, offering his time and talents to many congregations over the years. A dedicated member of The Episcopal Church of the Holy Innocents in Beach Haven, NJ, he served faithfully as Vestrian Treasurer. Barry loved spending time outdoors, tending to his garden, and keeping fit — hobbies that reflected his appreciation for life's simple joys. Above all, family was everything to him, and he treasured every moment spent with his loved ones.

Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at The Episcopal Church of the Holy Innocents, 410 S Atlantic Ave, Beach Haven, NJ 08008, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:30 A.M. until time of the service in the church.
