Barbara
Kehm
Apr 16, 1933 — Apr 9, 2026
Barbara Kehm (Archerd), 92, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 16, 1933, in New York, New York, she was the daughter of the late Wayne Archerd and the late Eunice Strube.
Barbara was the loving wife of the late Leroy Kehm. She was the devoted mother of Maria Baron and Linda Walter. She was the cherished grandmother of six grandchildren and the great-grandmother of nine great-grandchildren. She was also blessed with one great-great-grandson. Her beloved dog, Mr. Pringles, was her constant companion and best friend, always by her side, bringing her comfort and joy throughout the years.
A proud Navy veteran, Barbara earned a degree in English from the New York State College. She worked for many years at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, as well as a caretaker for the blind and homeless. Above all, she considered her greatest role to be that of a homemaker. Deeply religious, her faith was central to her life and brought her comfort and strength. She found simple joy in nature, particularly in her love for cardinals, and often spent peaceful moments sitting outside watching the birds.
Barbara will be remembered as a woman of strong faith, quiet grace, and deep devotion to her family. Her loving presence and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.
