Barbara Jones Obituary Barbara R. Jones, 77, of Bethlehem died Monday, January 20, 2025 at St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born in Fountain Hill, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Smale, Sr. and the late Ruth A. (Daub) Smale. Barbara was a crossing guard for the Bethlehem School District for over 16 years, before retiring in 2004. Previously, she was a seamstress for Panzell Manufacturing and had worked in the housekeeping department at St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. Barbaras grandchildren meant the world to her. She enjoyed the special time she had with each of them while babysitting. A talented seamstress, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting and arts and crafts. Barbara was of the Baptist faith. Survivors: Daughters, Denise D. wife of Kenneth Kratzer, Jr. with whom she resided, Tammy Lynn Jones of Bethlehem; siblings, Betty Smith, Nancy Kresge of Bethlehem, Jean Heimbach of Bath, Kenneth Smale, Jr. and his wife Mary of ME, Patricia Sandre of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Nicole Erceg-Kratzer and her wife Aubrey Erceg, Jennifer Kratzer, Jesenia Pacheco, Jordan Pacheco, Gabriella Jones, Logan Jones; great grandchildren, Isaac, Kratzer, Owen Rafferty, Ayden Kratzer. Service: Funeral Service 7:00PM Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem. A viewing will be held from 6 to 7:00PM Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the funeral home. Interment 1:00PM Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
