Obituary

Audrey K. Ritter, a cherished and loving soul, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025, surrounded by her devoted family. She was 89. Born on February 20, 1936, in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Kathryn (Sayre) Kressler.

Audrey lived a life grounded in love, compassion, and dedication, especially to her family. She shared 67 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Richard Ritter, their relationship a shining example of lifelong partnership. Together, they built a close-knit family, raising three daughters: Kathleen Ann Dancho and her husband Gregory, Lisa Ritter-Edwards and her husband Scott, and Jane Elizabeth Roberts and her husband Kyle.

Audrey was a proud and loving grandmother to Ashley, Brett, Lauren, Lindsay, Jenna, Erin, Levi, Kasey, Matthew, and Ryan, and beamed with joy at the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Nolan and Aria.

A 1954 graduate of Liberty High School, Audrey went on to study nursing at the St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing. She served with heartfelt care at the VA Hospital in Philadelphia, embodying the spirit of service throughout her nursing career. Later, she brought that same warmth and grace to her role as manager of Ramball Jewelry Store in South Bethlehem, where she formed lasting connections with customers and friends alike.

Outside of work, Audrey embraced life with a joyful spirit and a deep appreciation for the little things. She loved traveling with Richard, whether it was a special getaway or a simple weekend adventure—they made memories everywhere they went. Audrey never passed up a good card game of pinochle, a delicious meal shared with loved ones, or the chance to enjoy her favorite Raspberry Martini. But above all, her happiest moments were the ones spent with her family all together under one roof. Those were the times she treasured most laughing, talking, simply being surrounded by the people she loved. For Audrey, family truly was everything.

A woman of deep faith, Audrey was a longtime member of Emmanuel Evangelical Congregational Church in Bethlehem. Her faith guided her daily life and shone through in her kindness, generosity, and love for others.

Audrey's presence brought comfort, joy, and strength to everyone who knew her. Though she will be dearly missed, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
