Obituary

Ann Lanscek Obituary Ann J. (Csicsek) Lanscek, 96, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 8, 2024, while in the care of Holy Family Manor. Born on December 22, 1927, in Bethlehem, Ann was a cherished daughter to her late parents Joseph and Julia (Kovacs) Csicsek. She was the beloved wife of the late William F. Lanscek, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories and love. Ann was a proud graduate of Bethlehem High School, and thereafter, she dedicated many years of service as a waitress in the Legal dining room at Bethlehem Steel. Throughout her life, Ann was a faithful member of the former St. John Capistrano Church and a current member of Incarnation of Our Lord, Bethlehem, where she was not only a parishioner but also an active participant in the seniors group. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life's challenges and joys. Her interests extended beyond the walls of the church to the excitement of the casino and the camaraderie of bingo halls. Yet, Ann's greatest joy was found in the simple pleasure of taking care of her family. She was a nurturing presence to her daughter Karen Ondrechen, her son William 'Bill' Lanscek and his wife Deborah, and a doting grandmother to her grandchildren Jeffery and his wife Annie, and Jennifer. Her legacy continued to flourish through her great-grandchildren Mckinzie, Mckayla, and Mckiley, who brought her immense pride and happiness. Ann was the last living sibling of her family, predeceased by her brothers Charles Csicsek and Rudy Csicsek, and her sisters Agnes Gastony and Mary Vetrosky.
