Obituary

Angela Del Corso Obituary Angela (Cammareri) Del Corso, a cherished matriarch and beacon of love, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 8, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on March 25, 1942, in Brooklyn, NY, Angela's life was a testament to the power of family, faith, and hard work. Angela was the beloved daughter of the late Paul and Filippa (Arculeo) Cammareri. She grew up surrounded by the smells of warm bread and Italian cookies made by her father at their family bakery along with her late siblings: Mary, Nicholas, Teresa and Frances. Angela's early years in Brooklyn instilled in her the values of community and tradition, which she carried with her throughout her life. In her youth, Angela met and married the love of her life, Italo Del Corso, and together they embarked on a journey of love, laughter, and dedication. Together they carried on the Cammareri legacy and opened their own bakery. Although Italo predeceased her, their union was blessed with four wonderful children: Michael and his wife Suzanne, Marisa, Anthony and his wife Silvia, and Steven and his wife Nicole. In addition, she also welcomed Tana Riccio into their family as a second daughter. Angela's role as a mother was one that she cherished deeply, and she raised her children with an abundance of love and a strong sense of family. Angela's commitment to her family extended to her grandchildren: Nicole, Brianna, Robert, Jonathan, Michael, Nicholas, Anthony, Daniella, Jessica, Mia, Jillian, and Alexandra. She reveled in their accomplishments and joys, and she was a constant presence in their lives. Her legacy continued to flourish with the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Brynlee and Austin, who brought her immense joy and pride. Professionally, Angela was a dedicated business owner, taking the helm of the family business with grace and acumen. Her entrepreneurial spirit and tireless work ethic were matched only by her devotion to her family. Angela balanced her professional responsibilities with her role as a mother, creating a loving home where all were welcome. Angelas legacy will live on through her family as they continue to emulate her values, her holiday traditions, wonderful recipes, and her love and care for others. In her spirit and her memory, the card games will continue, and the rice balls and baked clams will be served as a testament to the impact she had on family and friends. She will never be forgotten.
