Alexander Leon went home to the Lord on April 30, 2025.

Born in Los Angeles, California in 1936, Alex grew up in Van Nuys and attended St. Elizabeth Parochial School and Queen of Angels Prep.

Preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Alex is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Frances; their two children, Alexis and Rebecca, of Pennsylvania and California respectively; his brothers Sal (Sarah) and Richard (Sylvia), of California; and various nieces and nephews.

A teacher and Vietnam-era U.S. Army Signal Corps veteran, Alex received a master's degree from the University of Southern California and earned teaching credentials from UCLA for the State of California. He taught classes at all levels, conducted teacher training workshops, directed and developed curriculum for various language programs, and worked within the oil and defense industries teaching English to Arab personnel before retiring to nature, music, and books.

According to his wishes, Alex was cremated, his ashes to be scattered over the Pacific Ocean. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17th, 2025 at 11 A.M. at St. Theresa of The Child Jesus Church- 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown, PA 18055. Alex's services have been entrusted to Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem.  A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
