Albena M. (Popson) Breslin, 93, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2024, while in the tender care of Lehigh Valley Hospice. Born on March 21, 1931, in Highland, PA, Albena's life journey was a testament to the enduring power of love and family.

The daughter of the late George and Katherine (Yurtinus) Popson, Albena grew up surrounded by her siblings Anne, Joseph, Mary, Catherine, Andy, Vernie, and Betty, all of whom predeceased her. Albena's formative years in Highland were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family, a value that she carried throughout her life.

Albena attended Foster Township High School, where she laid the foundation for her future endeavors. Her early career saw her working diligently for Tung-Sol in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. However, her true calling was as a devoted homemaker, a role she embraced with unparalleled passion after marrying her late husband, John T. Breslin, and starting a family of her own.

Albena's legacy is lovingly carried on by her beloved daughters, Kathleen M. Breslin-Foulkrod and her husband Rick, and Joan A. Breslin. She was a guiding light in the lives of her grandchildren, Faith, Timothy (Becky), Jon Alan (Meegan), and Haley, and she cherished every moment with her great-grandchildren, Theo, Lucas, and JT. The loss of her late son, John J. Breslin, was a profound sorrow, yet she continued to embody strength and love for her family.

A loving homemaker, Albena reveled in the simple joys of life. Her hands were rarely still, as she found solace and joy in crocheting, knitting, and creating a warm, welcoming home. Her culinary skills were unmatched, and her cooking and baking brought together generations at the family table. Albena's love for decorating during Christmas was a source of joy for all who knew her, turning her home into a festive sanctuary that reflected the spirit of the season.

Albena's love for her family was her world and meant everything to her. She was the heart of every gathering, and her ability to entertain her family with stories and laughter will be deeply missed. Her love was a constant, unwavering force that nurtured her family through the best and most challenging of times.
