Sue Rush Obituary

Sue Carroll Rush, 85, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2018, in the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown. She was the wife of the late Charles L. Rush, who died in 2012.

Born in Bethlehem, Sue was the daughter of the late Victor F. and Mildred (Dieter) Hahn, Sr. A 1950 graduate of Liberty High School, she went on to work as an engineering clerk at Bethlehem Steel, retiring after over 30 years of service. She and her husband loved to go sailing, and often sailed their boat on Lake Nockamixon and on the Chesapeake Bay. They were also very active in numerous Freemason groups, and Sue was a member the Order of the Eastern Star Calypso Chapter #163 and Elizabethtown Chapter #407, as well as the Order of the Amaranth Victory Court #149. She was a former member of the Dorothy Linn Memorial Court #110, and of the Rangerettes of Bethlehem Forest. Sue was also a member of the Cathedral Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.

Survivors: daughter Patricia R. Gombocz and her husband Stephen of Bethlehem. Sue was predeceased by her brother, Victor F. Hahn, Jr.

Services: The Order of the Eastern Star Service will begin at 11 AM, followed by a Memorial Service for Sue on Tuesday, February 6, in the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St, Bethlehem, 18018, where friends may call from 10 AM until time of services. Burial will follow at Cathedral Church of the Nativity. A memory tribute may be placed at www.longfuneralhome.com
