Richard J. Wickert, 92, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on October 19th, 2018. Born in Bethlehem he was the son of the late Walter and Helen (Achey) Wickert. He was the husband of the late Joyce L. (Knauss) Wickert. Richard worked for Pantry Pride as a stock clerk for 33 years retiring in 1981. He honorably served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII as a Ball Turret Gunner in the 454 group 15th Air Force. He was a member of the North End Wanderers Athletic Association.
SURVIVORS: Richard will be lovingly remembered by his Son, James R. Wickert and wife Diane; Daughters, Deborah J. Zelezen and husband Mark and Susan L. Thomas and husband Benjamin; Grandchildren, Adam Zelezen, Peter Zelezen, Mathew Zelezen, Phillip Wickert, Kristen Wickert, Derek Thomas, and Mitchell Thomas; and Great Grandchildren, Laura and Violet. He is predeceased by his Brothers George and Sterling Wickert.
SERVICES: A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem,18018 where friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
