Richard Sponsler Obituary

Richard C. Sponsler, Jr., 55, of Green Lane (Upper Hanover Township), passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. He was the husband of Elaine D. (Lindenmuth) Sponsler. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Richard Sr. and Dolores (Coleman) Sponsler. Richard was self-employed in the construction business and had honorably served his country with the U.S. Marines during Peacetime. He was a former member of the Red Hill Fire Department. He loved art, drawing and painting; fishing and hunting. Surviving with his loving wife, sons, Steven A. of Montgomery County; Andrew J.; daughter, Jennifer L. Sponsler of Pottstown; seven grandchildren; sister, Peggy Repasch, brother, John A. all of Allentown; sister, Linda Wiesser and husband Donald of Emmaus. He was predeceased by siblings, Galen, Debbie, Sue, Curtis. Services will be held 11 am Tuesday, June 19th at Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill, where the family will receive friends and relatives from 10 am until the start of the service.
