Melissa D. Ziemian, 42, passed away peacefully on Christmas evening, after fighting a lengthy courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Michael Ziemian, with whom she shared 16 years of loving marriage. Born in Salem NJ, she was the daughter of Linda Powell of Salem, NJ, and Paul Harwood and his wife Lynn of Naples, FL. Melissa was a graduate of St. James High School, class of 1994. She also was a graduate of The College of New Jersey, class of 1998. Melissa worked as a Physical Education teacher at St. Anne School in Bethlehem. Previously, she was an Occupational Therapist in Florida. She enjoyed running, volunteering, country music and loved her four daschunds.
SURVIVORS: In addition to her loving husband Mike, she will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughters, Lily and Layla, at home; sisters, Jennifer Harwood Ruhl of Freehold, NJ and Rebecca Harwood Barnes, and husband, Tom, of Ciniminson, NJ; step-brother Paul Harwood, Jr. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday December 29, 2018 from 9-11 AM at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church, 450 E.
