Louise Shaton Obituary
Louise A. Shaton, 97, of Chester, PA and formerly of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Friday October 12, 2018 at Riddle Hospital, Media, PA. She was the wife of the late Charles Shaton who passed in 1958. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Benedetto and Jenny (Masi) Maura. Louise was a former member of Our lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, the St. Theresa Sodality and the Rosary Sodality. She was also an active member of the former Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church. Most recently, Louise was on the board of directors for the Notre Dame Golden Ages.
Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Donna Faye Marotta and her husband Arnold of Woodlyn, PA, and Teena Louise Thatcher and her husband Garry of Factoryville, PA; sister in law Isabelle Maurathank; grandchildren, Christopher Thatcher and his wife Kristi, Matthew Thatcher and his wife Christine, Christopher Marotta and his wife Maureen and Erica VandenBerg; and her 12 loving great-grandchildren Tyler, Kurtis, Brian, Tanner, Abigail, Chelsea, Amelia, Adison, Vivian, Avalynn, Nicholas and Patrick. Louise was preceded in death by her siblings Lawerence, Fubs, Louisa, Nicolene, Mary, Laura, Anthony, and Joseph.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will recieve relatives and friends from 11 A.M. until time of the service. Burial will take place at Holy Saviour Cemetery. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
