Leonard C. Bopf, 93, of Hanover Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Kirkland Village, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Lois Bopf, who died in 1999.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, he was the son of the late Leonard C. and Marie (Leahy) Bopf. He served his country in the US Navy during WWII in the Pacific Fleet, then returned home to earn his bachelor's degree from Rutgers University in 1950. He was the Treasurer of the International Division of Bristol-Myers / Squibb for almost 30 years. He volunteered with Meals on Wheels of Northampton County for over 20 years, and with the APPRISE program to help seniors with Medicare / Medicaid issues. He was a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church, where he volunteered in many capacities, and was a former treasurer of the 55 Plus Club.
Survivors: daughters Lauren Creamer and husband Paul of Hanover Township, Lynn Bopf of Jamaica Plain, MA; granddaughter Lindsay.
Services: Calling hours will be held on Friday evening from 5 PM to 7 PM in the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem, 18018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, January 6, at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church, 1813 Catasauqua Rd, Bethlehem, 18018. Burial will be private.
