Laurie Villani Obituary
Laurie Anne Villani, 55, of Linden, VA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday January 11, 2019, while in the care of her family and the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. She was the loving wife of Richard A. Villani, with whom she shared over 22 years of loving marriage. Born in Cleveland, OH, she was the daughter of the late Barry Dennis and Rose Mary (Check) McGee. Laurie was a graduate of Largo High School, FL. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with distinction at The Pennsylvania State University and continued with a Masters Degree in Education and Training from George Mason University. She worked as an elementary school teacher for the George G. Tyler Elementary School in Gainesville, VA.
Laurie enjoyed traveling, hiking and yoga, as well as caring for her many pets.
She loved spending time with her family, her grandson, and met her new baby grand-daughter, born Thursday January 10th, 2019, the evening before her passing.
SURVIVORS: In addition to her loving husband Rich, she will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Laurie Anne Bradley of Berryville, VA; sisters Rosemarie Bacheler and husband Terry of SC and Colleen Marie McGee. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Barry D. McGee, Jr, and Therese Anne Koerner.
SERVICES: A Funeral Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday January 21, 2019 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem 18018. Calling hours will be held on Sunday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. and also on Monday morning from 10 A.M. until the time of the service all at the funeral home. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. A memorial tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
CONTRIBUTIONS: In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 and/or The Salvation Army, 521 Pembroke Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18018.
