Kara Heckenberger Obituary
Kara A. Heckenberger, 27, of Nazareth passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday August 9, 2017 at her home. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of Dr. Gary J. and Deborrah (Pirog) Heckenberger. Kara was a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School class of 2008 and went on to earn her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from Kutztown University class of 2012. She was currently employed by Dr. Augello's Health & Body Makeover in Bethlehem. Kara possessed an extraordinarily kind and gentle spirit. In addition to her family she loved music, concerts, the beach, and all animals especially her beloved cat Pistachio Blizzard.
Survivors: she will be lovingly remembered by her parents Dr. Gary J. Heckenberger and Deborrah Heckenberger of Nazareth; brothers Dr. Matthew J. Heckenberger of Bethlehem and Michael J. Heckenberger of Nazareth; Aunt Delores Brunell of Allentown; Uncles Peter Pirog and his wife Joan of Pottstown, Eugene Deming and his wife Donna of Bethlehem and David Deming and his wife Nicole of Bethlehem; and many cousins.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M. on Monday August 14, 2017 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Road, Bethlehem, PA 18018. A viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. and also on Monday morning from 8:30 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will take place at Holy Saviour Cemetery. A memory tribute may be placed at www.longfuneralhome.com
